I am directed by the Council of the Philological Society to apply to you for the sum of Three guineas, which appears by their books to be due to the society, on account of your Subscription for the years 1853 – 4 – 5. The amount may be paid at the bank of Messrs. Bouverie & Co. 11 Haymarket, or, if more convenient, remitted to me by a Post Office Order.
