My dear Talbot
Thank God, I have for the present bid adieu to Doctors & start from the Tower on Thursday via Antwerp & the Rhine for Switzerland or Salzburg as inclination at the moment may direct – This is the best answer I can give to your very thoughtful & kind proposal respecting Dr Kenrick <1> whom I beg you will assure that did I feel medical attendance necessary, there is no one who from general character & reputation as well as from your recommendation whose skill I should more gladly avail myself of – I have had a very sharp attack – I do not believe that there was any one moment when I was in actual danger, but for several days any change for the worse would have been very alarming – I am now except a little languor nearly as well as ever & intend much to enjoy my tour –
Thereza Digby <2> is returned, which is a great comfort – & we hear that Lord Ilchester <3> is as composed as possible. It is a grievous blow –
Jane <4> desires to unite in kind remembrances to Mrs Talbot <5> & yourself
Yours affly
Jno Nicholl
