All Communications to be addressed to
Dr John Nicol, as under.
16 Warriston Crescent,

23 Oct 1876

Dear Sir

From the enclosed circular <1> you will see that we intend holding an exhibition in Decr. and Jany. and that we are anxious to illustrate as far as possible the earlier processes of the Art.

The Committee, thinking that you are likely to have in your possession much that would be interesting in that direction, have instructed me to apply to you.

Anything <2> that you may favour us with shall receive every care, and as the department will be under the charge of a gentleman thoroughly conversant with most of the early processes, the history and peculiarities of the specimens will be fully explained to all who may be interested in the matter.

I am dear Sir Yours faithfully
John Nicol

W.H. Fox Talbot Esqr
