6 Michael’s Grove
29th April 1870
My dear Sir,
I have this day received the clean sheets of my part III up to page 756.
These have come slowly thought the press, owing to an accident. On the 1st January last, I was run down by a Hansom which disabled me from working for several weeks; I was confined to my bed till February, and to my bed-room till the middle of March and am unable to walk out yet; but I am out of pain and except the local hurt, feel as well as ever. The doctor promises complete recovery but at my age this is doubtful. I can however get on with my Dictionary. As soon as I hear that you are accessible I will send you the sheets
I am My dear Sir Yours faithfully
