My dear Sir,

I shall be much obliged to you if you will forward your Glossary to me here. I am come to my favourite place, in hopes of recovering my strength by sea breezes, but cannot expect much at seventy-seven.

I enclose a first proof, (to be burned when read) of my dictionary of Verbs. It was begun more than three months ago, and has been altered about once a week ever since; I cannot yet determine [illegible deletion] how to devise a plan which shall suit all the verbs I have to record. At intervals I get on with the ordinary dictionary, of which I done [sic] near three sheets, and hope to send you a packet soon

Yours faithfully
Edwin Norris
