Dear Sir,
I am now returned from Ventnor, but have hardly begun work yet. I have reason to believe that in order to have the regular entrée to copy in the Museum you will have to apply to Panizzi, <1> who will, no doubt, make arrangements to enable you to do it comfortably. I hear, just, now, from Sir Henry, <2> that he will return to town for good very soon, and will then set to work in earnest. He adds that we must come to some definite understanding about your cooperation before we recommence work. He does not tell me to say this, but I think he can have no objection to my quoting this bit of his letter: at all events let it be entre nous <3> that I have done so. I will let you know when he comes, but I should think you need not delay making application to Panizzi.
I am Dear Sir yours faithfully
Edwin Norris
