R As Soc <1>
12 Oct. 1860
Dear Sir
I enclose you Mr Panizzi’s <2> letter, which is very satisfactory. Just after your letter arrived Col. Rawlinson <3> came in from his vacation. I showed him your letter, and he said he should happy [sic] to see you on Monday, if you come. He is at N. 39 Hill Street Berkley Square, close by this house
He quite coincides with your opinion of the importance of having more labourers in the work, and there can be no danger of an "interfering with his work." The only difficulty I foresee is to get you a good light for copying.
Yours vy truly
Edwin Norris
