My dear Sir
Many thanks for your papers which reached me last night. I shall study them at the first moment I can, but I am now suffering from a fierce attack of tic douloureux, which hardly allows me a moment’s interval; and I have besides work from the Foreign office. I have already a copy of the Inscription, and a comparison with yours will help to shew if it be correct. As soon as I have done this I will send back yours, but should like to keep your reading and translation a little longer.
I remain my dear Sir Yours faithfully
Edwin Norris.
