Dear Sir

I have put your name up; <1> it will be read over on the 15 inst, & again on the 6th December after which you will have an official communication of the result. I find your name in the Royal Society’s List <2> as William H. &c how do wish it to be put? I see you sign H. only.

If you look at p.xxx. of the Society’s Report of 1852 of which I forward you a copy by this day’s post, you will see that Sir Henry printed a good bit of a translation of Taylor’s Cylinder, <3> of which he had a cast. It was that to which I alluded principally.

I am Dear Sir Yours very faithfully
Edwin Norris
