Sir
I feel it right in the first place to apologize, being entirely a personal stranger, for addressing you at all –
While staying in your neighborhood some time since I was enabled to procure a sight of several of your beautiful Photographs & have since that time found much interest, during my leisure in making several humble attempts to follow up a pursuit wherein you, Sir, have so much astonished the world. But I have as yet been able to procure no authentic account of your process; I mean especially as to the formula you make use of for the Gallo Nitrate. Should you kindly favour me with it, or direct me to some authorised source of information on the subject you will much oblige,
Sir Your obedt Servt
D J. Olivier
Should you please to favour me with an answer, my direction is,
