At a Meeting of the General Committee held at the Guildhall on Friday 15th instant, it having been reported by the Finance Committee that the expenditure had exceeded the receipts by £333 – the following resolution was unanimously adopted.
"That it is the opinion of the those members of the General Committee here present that the deficiency in the reception Fund should be made good by contributions from all the members of the General Committee in such proportions as they may feel disposed, and the Officers are requested to take the necessary steps to give effect to this resolution."
Be good enough to forward to the Hon: Treasurer (W. Collon Esq. National Provincial Bank. Exeter) any sum you may be disposed to contribute towards the existing deficiency.
