Presuming that which I have to mention may be very desirable to you, I take the liberty to make it known to You – I allude to a small and very beautiful Portrait of a distinguished Lady of one of the Ducal branches of the House of Talbot; being that of the celebrated Miss Jennings <1> of Grammonts Memoirs, <2> who married first Count Hamilton of the Abercorn Family and secondly Richard Talbot Duke of Tyrconnel in Ireland – It is by a first rate Master the celebrated S Cooper, <3> and is inlaid in a superb border like a Missal, the Arms of Talbot & Jennings are thereon – she was Sister of Sarah Dss of Marlborough <4> – the size of it that is the frame is about a foot square – Should you wish to purchase this interesting Family Memorial price 25 Guas, I shall be glad at once to forward it to the Abbey for inspection &c and subject to be returned in not approved of – it is every way worthy of the Abbey & is a handsome & interesting Memorial to be preserved in Your Family – With every Apology for the Intrusion,
