Dear Sir,

Note has been taken of the address you send; but the next part will not be to time, I am sorry to say, owing to articles not being prepared sufficiently early.

If this address is to be considered permanent, pray be so good as to inform me, at your leisure.

We have nothing new of Assyrian inscriptions translated; but fresh ones are being discovered in various parts of the hill country north of Assyria, by Mr Taylor, Consul at Diyarbekr, as mentioned in last Saturday’s Athenĉum and Parthenon.

Believe me, dear Sir, faithfully yours,
J W Redhouse

H. F. Talbot, Esq.
