About a fortnight ago I sent the proof and manuscript of your article on Khammirabbu. This not having been returned, may have miscarried, or you may be absent.
Sir H. Rawlinson’s notes can be completed only after your latest emendations are settled. When, therefore, you have completed your corrections, I shall send him the article, and upon it he will furnish his notes.
I am sorry this will retard the publication of the journal, but hope the matter will amply compensate for the delay.
