Mr H F Talbot Esqre
Sir
I have enclosed an estimate of the cost of repairing your carriage, should you pleased <sic> to entrust the work to me I will endeavor to give you satisfaction – If you wish to see me again I will be at Lacock as soon as I possibly can after receiving your command With regard to the large carriage I cannot offer you more than a breaking up price for it namely 8 Guineas I recollect a similar vehicle being sold belonging to the late Josh Veeld Esqre which realized only 7£- Of the two this latter was the more modern – If you would rather that I should try to sell it by advertizing I will do so, although it is questionable whether an enhanced price would be obtained to cover the cost in doing so, as it would be necessary to advertize in 3 or 4 different papers – Waiting your reply
I remain, Sir
Your obedient Servant
J Russell
