My dear Sir
Your favor <1> of the 21st duly reached me but as I was setting out for this place where my time is rather uncertain I thought it better to reply to you here – I find that my Engagements both in the Country and in Town will not allow of my joining you in the Canvass for Chippenham <2> so early as Saturday next the 28th Inst but if the following Saturday the 4th June would suit you I will be very much at your Service and probably the meeting at Chippenham would be better to begin.
Your’s [sic] very truly
T. H. Saunders
