My dear Sir,
It was quite a disappointment to me to miss you when you were good enough to call a fortnight ago. After what I had said, I had quite hoped that you wd call after the school met in preference to the holidays.
Mrs Simpkinson I believe explained to you that as matters now stand I fully expect to have a vacancy at your service at Easter. You will prefer however I dare say to have this assurance repeated by myself.
