My Dear Sir
I propose to call at the Museum on Wednesday & hope to find you there.
I have noted down the numbers of some of the tablets which I wish to see, that is, such of them as you can conveniently look out.
Tablet concerning an Eclipse which I have translated in the Transns of the B. A. Socy <1>
K. 3169 [ill. del.] lithographd in plate 4 of the New Volume
either K 156 or 246 being the portion of plate 17 of Rawlinson’s Vol II inscirptns recovered since that Vol. was publishd.
Omen tablet K 3161
Tablet with history of Sargina & his successor Naram Sin, which you mention p.47 Early histy of Babylonia.
Tablets dated from “the capture of Karrak.” see p.54 of same work
Tablets of Hammurabi see p.57 of ditto
about figure of Cherubim overlaid with gold see p.63 of ditto
Any of the above which you can most easily find.
I think your translation of the inscriptn on Bronze statue from Afadj is very successful.
Yours truly
H. F. Talbot
