To Henry F. Talbot Esqr

Sir;

I beg to excuse the liberty I take in troubling you with my few lines. Only I beg Sir, to send you a few Cards of my new Address as I have left Alma Road and took a little House here for saving a little on the rent.

Sir, since I left your kind Service on the 14th of April I only did work for one other Month, Employed by Mr Symonds for Swizerland, so bad was the Summer for us no families went out at all about the Foolish Germen War.

It is very hard for a Man, to have to surp support Wife & Children without any Employment for so a long time and nothing in view yet.

I beg you Sir, if you should have the Opportunity of hearing of a family inquiering [sic] our Service as to have the kindness as to recommend me

I should be very thankful and very much Obliged to you for it

I am Sir Your Most Obd Servant
Th. Sommerfeldt <1>
