Dear Henry,

I am afraid you will think I have forgot you, your letter, and the commissions altogether – but which is not the case, I assure you – I can give you a famous account of our plants here, all the Heaths are blowing or going blow [sic] very full and handsome, The Cape Jessamines likewise are blowing extremely well, & so sweet. – We were much obliged for your name of the Cestrum it is now out of blow, but we could not quite make it answer to Millers description of the plant. – I think you had three Commissions for me, the sweet scented vine which you recollected, the Black Poplars none of which I mean to have now – and the third was a tree pæony and the one I ordered last year from L & Th was to be a plant that would flower this year. – if it is not too late in the Season I should still like to have one. Write me word when you think you shall go there as I may very likely have another job for you. When you sent us such an account of the Colycanthus præcox, we went to look at ours, and it was in blow & sweet tho’ not handsome – ours is a young plant. – We have now a double Red Camelia in blow rather handsome & roses in the Hot House in plenty Write to me soon, & Believe me
