Dear Henry

You will have recd a letter from me <2> in S. Street. <3> I hear you have been so good as to prepare some Calotypes for Germany – if you go through Frankfort, will you leave them there with Mr Kuper, <4> who is much interested about them & will keep them for me. If you do not go thro’ Frankfort, either way, it will be better to leave them for me in 31. B. St. <5>

What route do you take? Try the road by the Maine thro’ Aschaffenburg, Miltenberg, & Mergentheim or Rothenburg towards Nuremberg – the Odenwald will be in beauty at this season – We have lots of Mesembs – Alliums – Dianthus – & other fashionables in full blow – do you know the Libertias?

W F S

How I wish you could return by Wurtzburg Fulda – Cassel – Dusseldorf or Cologne – & see Wilhelmshohe & Mr Wilds rockgarden at Cassel if you take the upper Rhine go to see Insel Meinau & Heiligenberg, the Nurgthal to Baden.
