As I find that it takes a longer time than I had calculated on to receive answer to my communications, owing I suppose to the unluckily intervening Sunday, <2> I write in haste to inform you that we have fixed 12 o’clock on Saturday next for the Funeral of my poor & lamented Mother <3> – & though I can hardly expect your personal attendance from such a distance, I feel a satisfaction in giving you notice of it – as I think I may feel confident of theon
