Your not writing to me has been the reason of my not writing to you to tell you that I have Fritillaria Messanensis, which I expect will prove lutea, & a Zygophyllum, probably Sessilifolium, making slow preparations to flower – also Lachenalia pendula which you remember in Italy in fine flower – it is my favorite of the genus as far as I know them it lasts so long & they say it encreases readily by offset and seeds –

What a Siberian winter this has been we had the mercury at 10 fahrenheit one night. Did you get a letter with an old list in it. How did you find my bulbs
