Sir
Mr Abbot informs me that you have succeeded in reading the inscription on the Assyrian Slab in the Museum of the Society of Antiquaries.
It would add much to the interest of the Monument if you would take the trouble to give us a Memorandum with a translation of the Inscription to be read at a Meeting of the Society & then printed in our Proceedings.
Our next Meeting will be on the second Monday of March & we meet Monthly during the Winter Months. If you will Kindly furnish me with the title of your Memorandum by the first of the Month in which it is to be read, and inform me whether you are dispersed to read it personally or have it read by another I will be much obliged.
I am Yours faithfully
John Stuart
