Friday 16. –

My dear Henry

The Parly papers did not come yesterday therefore I send them as well as this morning’s altogether – which makes a great quantity. – I wonder at the Post-bag’s conveying such things. – Some people that I have chanced to see, express great surprise at your absence at such a busy moment & seem to think the two last nights very important. – Several letters come for you every day, which I suppose solicit your attendance most earnestly. –

I hope you will bring or send me specimens of all our Flowers, that make their appearance while you are at Lacock. – I am glad to hear that all the things are looking so nice. – I am summoning all my courage for Lansdowne House <1> this evening, as I perceive I shall be obliged to go alone, at last. –

I think I have nothing particular to say

so believe me yr affecte
Constance. –

Pray let Mr Feilding <2> have the enclosed before posttime that I may know whether I am going to do right about the box. – Laura <3> sends her love; to you I mean. –

Henry Fox Talbot Esqr M.P. –
Lacock Abbey
Chippenham
