Lacock
April 16
My dear Constance
I am so glad you found the weather warm enough for a Bath Chair – Here also it is enjoyable – The garden is making progress daily – There is a superb cluster of Polyanthus Narcissus on the South Terrace & close to it a very fine Pyrus Japonica. Wilkins <1> is sending you a really beautiful Nosegay –
The smallest Spanish mountain Narcissus (or the rush-leaved) is now in flower on the rockwork it would look very pretty if we had 20 plants of it together. Narcissus minor flowered in the Botanic garden I dont know how awe obtained it, we are going to try and have a bed of it. One very seldom sees it in anybodys garden.
I don’t want any Chocolate at present
Your affte
Henry
