My dear Henry

I am very much interested to discover a point in our pedigree, which your papers at Lacock will, I think, throw light upon. If you can refer to them and give me an answer in a post or two to the following questions you would very much oblige me –

1. Was there more than one Sherington Talbot in the family?

2. Is there any marriage, in the family, of Sherington Talbot with Miss Leighton, <1> and if so,

3. What is the date of this marriage

4. What the <sic> name of her father & particularly of her mother?

5. Where were they married &

6. When?

If you happen to possess a copy or the original of Sherington Talbot’s marriage settlements it would be of great service to my inquiry.

If you could send me a copy of the family pedigree about the time of 1650 to 1750 I should be much obliged – All my papers relate to the Mansels.
