My dear Papa,
John has now come home, & I have talked over plans with him – he says he cannot start for the South till the 20th of May at the soonest – so we shall be at home (either here or at Dabton) & hope you will come to us if you carry out your proposed visit to Edinburgh. We mean to stay here as long as we can, so the probabilities are that we shall be here at the time you mention – It is getting quite pretty & green here – & the rain has done much good.
With love your most affecte daughter
Tilly
