Queen’s Hotel Birmingham
Tuesday evening.
Matilda <1> has not said half enough in praise of the our supper – We had chicken, accompanied by the most delicious tongue that ever was eaten. butter perfect, much superior to that we have been having at Lacock for sometime past. – bread very good too; – it is the more strange that they should select their teas so badly. Our rooms are very comfortable indeed,
Adieu, try & make yourself comfortable in your Solitude.
Your affectionate
Constance.
