Dear Sir
Madame Petit <1> has left a duly executed will dated in 1861. She has left the whole of her little property to me, & appointed me sole executor. The property consists of £ 1,700 3 pr Ct Consols and £ 125 ready money. I wish to know what steps I ought to take to obtain Probate of the will. Can you undertake business of that sort
After Probate granted I have to pay Legacy duty to the governmentYours truly

1. Amélina Petit de Billier, 'Mamie', 'Amandier' (1798- 8 September 1876), governess and later close friend of the Talbot family [See Amélina's journal].
Sje os buried at Lacock next to WHFT, sharing a stone with Ela Theresa Talbot (25 Apr 1835 - 25 Apr 1893), WHFT's 1st daughter and a memorial to Rosamond Constance Talbot (16 Mar 1837 - 7 May 1906), 'Monie', artist & WHFT's 2nd daughter, who died and was buried at San Remo, Italy.
