I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your Paper, <1> which is intended for insertion in the forthcoming Number of the Philosoph. Magazine. The Editors will be very happy to receive the other communication mentioned in your note; <2> but fear that it will not be possible for them to insert it earlier than next Month, consistently with their previous engagements.

3. WHFT lived at this London address, just down the street from the Royal Institution, for half of April and the whole of May, 1833.
