Your favor of the 2d instant is now before me and I beg leave to inform you that the small parcel for the Baron <1> was forwarded by the felucca <2> called Madame del Carmine Pastrana Barachino which I have no doubt has been safely delivered long before this time. the other parcel for Professor Gergonne <3> I am sorry to say still lays by me never having had any opportunity direct for letter any orders which you may think proper to give me concerning it shall be strictly attended

I am happy that the Box of Books has arrived in safety from which you no doubt have been assured that there was no delay on my part
