The enclosed <1> Specimen of a Latin Version of the celebrated Irish Melodies <2> is respectfully submitted to your notice, under an impression that it may not be devoid of interest to a scholar, as a Classical Introduction – I beg leave to direct your kind attention to the accompanying List of my present Subscribers, the high respectability of whose names encourages me to hope that I may be allowed to include your own among the number for a Copy of my forthcoming little Volume <3> –
I shall greatly esteem your indulgent compliance with my humble request on this occasion, and feel much obliged by the favour of an early communication according to my present address
