Dear M^r Fox Talbot,

Many thanks to you for your copies of the papers on the Esarhaddon & Khammurabi inscriptions.

I will make enquiry about the Photographs & I will ask M^r Birch to request a set may be forwarded to you – I do not suppose that any difficulty will be made about this –

I do not know any thing of M^r Sayce – and he is not employed in the Museum. The more labourers in the Assyrian Vineyard the better.

I have just seen M^r Birch and he says that if you will write a letter to M^r Panizzi & make a personal application, he has no doubt that you will obtain the Photographs – You had better state that they have been given to Rawlinson & Oppert &, I think, to Norris –
