The Lithographs Rawlinson exhibited were first proofs of the Lithograph of the Sennacherib Cylinder which the museum is about to publish – with the text, the Asiatic Soc^y publishing simultaneously a translation of the Same in English.

I doubt whether any other copies have been struck off & do not think that the Trustees would give to any one the detached plates

There could however be no harm in your addressing a letter expressive of your wish to Antonio Panizzi the new Principal Librarian.

This is, indeed, in any case, the proper Course to pursue
