Sir
The Archæological meeting at Bath<1> has brought to my recollection the existence of the accompanying documents. They were, I believe, taken from [sic] old box in a hay loft at the Abbey whilst occupied by Mr Grosett,<2> being evidently treated as things of no value. But as they are really curious I think that they ought to be in your possession, & therefore return them to you. if however, you do not value them, I should like to have them again.
I am Sir, Your obedt Servt
