Dr Sir

The water pipe on your field No 5 Laycock being now covered by the Embankment it will be necessary to direct it slightly and to build a 1½” culvert to convey the water under the Railway Embt

As your field will be left primarily as we found it, with wheat to water and your absence from Laycock must delay your reply, I have thought it better to proceed at once with the culvert – trusting that in a matter so very viable there can be no dif-ference of opinion between us – send an explanatory sketch.

I hope you will have received the bridge elevations – awaiting your reply as to them. I have the honor to remain

your obdt St

RJ Ward
