My dear Sir,
I beg to enclose Charles’ account for the last Half-year amounting to £70.. 14.. 7 –
I have much satisfaction in being able to give a good report for he continues to be industrious and painstaking and is making a very steady progress in his lessons – I am still more happy to be able to add a good account of his improvements in the most essential points of character and disposition, and I hope that Mrs Talbot and yourself may have every reason to coincide in my opinions of his conduct, during the holidays – and to as he is now one of my oldest boys, I need not say how important it is to me, that he should set a good example both in and out of school –
Mrs Williams desires to write in kind Compts to Mrs Talbot, and the good wishes of the season,
and I remain Dr Sir, Yours Truly
James A. Williams –
Our holidays end on the 19th
