July 14/52

Dear Sir,

I regret much that I should have made any mistake as to the date of the holidays – My intention was to say as follows, “That our holidays begin on the 22nd, but as some of my party were going down the Gt Western Line on the Wednesday morning the 21st it might save a second escort, if you wished Charles to join them” –

I have since arranged for Michael Seymour to be met by a servant at Reading on the 21st, & to go on towards Plymouth by the 8:47 train (from Reading) –

Therefore if you desire to alter your arrangement Commodore Seymour’s servant would also take care of Charles as far as Chippenham, (Mrs Harslett the person in question is a very careful person) – or I would adhere to your plan of this morning, & send Charles to Reading on Thursday the 22nd

I beg to remain Yours truly
James A Williams
