Chippenham <1>
Jany 1st 1833.
Dear Sir
I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your Cheque for £128·16·4 per Mr Awdry <2> on account of the Chippenham Election bills sent you. –
I was all Day yesterday and the whole of to day engaged in distributing your Donation to the Poor of Chippenham, Pewsham Langley &c, and will send you the amount disposed of in a day or two, – I think it will amount to about £40 –
I have had some thoughts of leaving it to yourself to give what you thought proper for my Agency bill, but as you requested to know, I beg to name 100 guineas which will include a few Pounds I have expended on different Occasions, subsequent to your Canvass in June last, not before charged you. –
I take this Opportunity of informing you, that the waiter at the Angel Inn, has not been paid any thing for his attendance &c during the Election in 1831 which I presume escaped your recollection –
I remain Dear Sir
Yours very faithfully
Wm Wilmot Junr
