I wrote you yesterday inclosing a Circular issued by Mr Scrope <2> which I hope you received – I now beg to inform you that the number of the Houses within the Parish of Chippenham is 772, and 196 of them are Houses rented at £10 per anm <3> & upwards.– the Person who I employed to ascertain the number of the Houses is the same that assisted in making the return Population in 1821, and he tells me that the whole of the Parish was then taken.
I shall be happy to attend to your further wishes
