Translation:

From St Evangile
Bern

2 September 1821

Since Mr Talbot, who is an English Gentleman and an enthusiastic Amateur of Botany, wishes to greatly increase his collection of swiss Plants, I could not recommend him to anyone better than Mr de Candolle, the Swiss Linnaeus, & to Mr Seringe. They are both in Geneva and the latter is able to supply him with all of the rarest plants in our Alps!!! I would ask Mr Talbot, to give my kindest regards to these two Gentlemen.

Wyttenbach Ministre
