Many thanks my dear Sir, for the flower of the Tropæolum tricolor & of the Arabis rosea. The former I have already figured in the Botl. Magazine, <1> the latter I should much wish to figure. Perhaps you could obtain for me an entire specimen with root-leaves & it would travel well under one of your covers. It seems to be at this time in an excellent state for drawing, having both flowers & young fruit.
I have not been unmindful of your wishes with respect to Drummonds <2> plants, & about 3 weeks ago I sent your share to London, <3> requesting Mr Lindley <4> to forward it to you.
Very faithfully Yours
W. J. Hooker.
