My Dear Henry

How came you not to tell me anything about the patent for a new motive power? <1> great was my surprize as I thought your ideas were at present in another direction. Mr Vivian <2> comes here next Tuesday for a day or two, & we intend to ask Ld & Ly Shelburne <3> to dine here on Wednesday I hope you will be come back, or I am afraid we shall be too many Ladies. In case you like to call on your Aunt <4> I must tell you she is at Lansdowne House. <5> and Theresa <6> in Burlington St – Pray call on her & let me know all she can tell about my brother –

Shelburne set off to day to be in town till the end of the week. Do you go to Cambridge? Tell Wright <7> to bring some plum buns & yorkshire cakes a few for Horatia <8>

Affly yrs
