R Hunt Esq.

Lacock 25 Dec 51

Dr Sir

I will write to the Assist Secy of the R Socy to offer my name to the testimonials in your favour, in case I am prevented from doing so personally before the day of Election-<2> I thank you for the Card of Admission to the lectures<3> and am very grateful to hear that 50 Copies of my paper were sent to the Athenæum Club, I will cause immediate enquiries to be made to know what has become of them<4>

As it appears that Dr Woods's Communication did not reach the Editor of the Athenæum, I enclose the copy of it which he sent me, & which I request you to return.<5>

I remain Dr Sir Yours very truly
H F Talbot
